The Gators in 2016/17 season have gone from strength to strength.
We have 150 members in our ranks for this season and we have gone up a division in the Brisbane swimming rankings. Which is a great achievement for a little club like ours.
We have a number of our swimmers representing us at Swimming Queensland meets and I’m seeing on club nights a vibe that is electric.
On he last weekend the Gators won our own carnival, something we haven’t be able to do for many years
We still have some swimming to do until we pack up for Xmas.

When are Club nights?
Club nights are held Friday evenings during school terms 4 & 1, with swimming starting at 6:15pm and concluding approximately 8.30 pm. Swimmers only need to be able to swim 12.5 metres to join in and are encouraged to start participating as soon as they feel comfortable.
It is a fun, informal family night with a well-run canteen and a raffle drawn during the evening. Interclub carnivals are held during the season. The swim season ends with club championships where swimmers compete for trophies.
What age do children have to be to join the club?
There is no age requirement, though children need to be able to swim 12.5m unaided. For young children who may be a little nervous (or for parents who are a bit unsure how their child will go) experienced squad swimmers will be on hand in the pool to assist and encourage if required.
